Named after the Tuckaseegee Ford — a historical trading route which crossed the Catawba River at the Whitewater Center — this open water swim will feature two different distances: a one-lap sprint triathlon distance (.75k) and a two-lap Olympic triathlon distance (1.5k). This race is not intended for recreational swimming (ie: playing in the water). Swimmers should be confident in their own abilities as this is a self-assisted race in the open waters of a natural river. In order to participate, swimmers are required to bring their own brightly colored swim cap. Wetsuits are not required, but will be allowed.
Race starts and finishes at the Flatwater Dock.
