Circumnavigating Sadler Island within the flatwaters of the Catawba River, this sit-on-top kayak race is a fan favorite. Participants can choose between the 1.25 mile (one lap) and 2.5 mile (two laps) distances. Kayaks are limited, but are included on a first-come, first-serve basis. Racers will receive a paddle and PFD at the Flatwater Dock for the race start.
